Queensland Rail’s Level Crossing Compliance

In 2017 – 2018 RCS Infrastructure deployed two trial sites for Queensland Rail for a new level crossing solution developed with COTS technology. Following client acceptance RCS Infrastructure were awarded the contract to deliver the technology across high risk level crossing sites throughout regional Queensland.

This project was an end to end solution from technology development through to commissioning inclusive of safety assurance activities, detailed design, procurement, factory build & test and site works (civil install and testing). In 2021 we deployed this technology at two  more level crossings at Cardwell. Currently, RCS Infrastructure is working with Queensland Rail rolling out this solution at three additional locations in North Queensland.

Since commencing this project our technology solution has gained industry recognition and has been type approved by other mainline operators within Australia.
