Job description

Key responsibilities of the role include:

Design Production

  • independent production of simple signalling designs as per approved client instructions and project plans.  Design of more complex applications under mentorship.
  • Preparation of project related documents
    • Detailed signalling scope of works
    • Signalling functional specifications
    • Signalling design plans
    • Preparation and review of technical reports and specifications
    • Development and specification of design standards
    • Operational and train safe working specifications
    • Preparation of testing and commissioning plans and test certificates
  • Identifying and confirming source inputs to design

About you:

  • A minimum of 5 years in design management and signalling project delivery
  • Bachelor’s Degree, Diploma or equivalent in Engineering
  • Desirable to have CPEng and/or holding (or working towards) IRSE licences in Signalling Designer & Verifier
  • Experience with signalling design, testing & commissioning and site works
  • High level interpersonal, negotiation and relationship building skills
